  • Coordinate outfits: Aim for complementary colors rather than identical outfits. Neutrals and soft tones photograph well and keep the focus on your family. You can even take inspiration from the family featured above and have individual families wear similar tones to highlight each group within the whole family. I usually recommend lightly matching the season without leaning to heavy when possible, to create a timeless year round look!
  • Choose a meaningful location and plan ahead for timing: Whether it’s a backyard, park, beach, or a place that holds family history, the setting can add depth and personality to your photos. Even just picking a beautiful location works when you know you want to frame it on your wall! I'll help with this but it's important to schedule your session during the best light of the day, usually early morning or just before sunset.
